My Own Brief
A lot of experiential design is about new ideas. I like to keep experimenting with whatever I find interesting at the time. These posts are some of those experiments. Find more on my Instagram account @boodoo.me

Graphic Novel development
December 14, 2019Graphic Novel I’m working on using my 3D design skills for backgrounds and drawing the characters by hand. Covid has hit the Live Events community hard, so I decided to try and develop my software skills in the time we’ve had. After re-rendering a few of my previous projects in C4D with Arnold, I needed … Read More

Children’s Book Illustration
April 14, 2019Some pages from a children’s book I illustrated recently. I modelled these simply in SketchUp and added a lot of texture in Photoshop. I draw the characters by hand on my Wacom tablet and colour them digitally too. Have a look at the 360° version of the little girl’s room here.
Purple Paper Proposals
October 3, 2018Wallpaper samples for an upcoming project. There’s nothing like seeing a product in the flesh to match with paint samples, fabrics and other textures.
I love the smell of paint samples in the morning
September 27, 2018Mixing metallic paints to get the right balance. The texture and the way it behaves in different light is so important to see first hand. For an upcoming Interior Design project.

Production Design Visuals in Photoshop
October 7, 2016Production Design visuals of film backgrounds for “Ithaca”, a short film about a long journey. Cut out, masked, colourised, blended, and multiplied, these images are built on photographs from the web. White and grey squares are the matt for moving images to be applied. Green screen filmed in my living room.
My Music Cloud Installation
September 18, 2016So here’s one I thought of for a music-based cloud – wax pencil on a group of CD cases. For me, the brittle acrylic material captures the delicate nature of a physical cloud in the sky, and the use of CD cases and wax reference the music industry from two bygone ages.

Projection Mapping Experiment

My First Mortise and Tenon
