Over the Christmas break, I had time to take the first steps in experimenting with projection mapping by buying a cheap projector and downloading the free VPT software. After creating a very simple animation in After Effects, I lined up the projection images with the edges of the box the projector came in.
A very sedate step towards the world of projection mapping, which has fascinated me for ages. I want to use Studio Max to create two (or more) sides to an object.
My long term goal is to use projection mapping to enhance the physical sets for live events.
